Hi everyone,

A quick update from the Decades of Dance UK crew.

There won't be a live show tonight - Gav got called up to be a linesman at the World Cup in Atlanta, and Ash got stranded at a Travelodge in Doncaster after having a dodgy curry with Paul Woolf. But don't worry - we'll be back next Wednesday with two more hours of house, club classics and dance anthems.

📰 Club Scene Round-Up

Here's what's happening in the world of dance music:

🎉 Housework returns to the Thames
Housework's annual Shipwrecked on the Thames boat party is just around the corner on 18 July, promising three decks of house music before continuing the party at The Steel Yard. It's one of the biggest summer events for London's house music crowd.

🌅 Ibiza season is in full swing
Across Ibiza, the summer season continues with major weekly line-ups from Defected, Glitterbox and many more as the island hits its busiest period of the year.

🌃 London's nightlife remains under pressure
Away from the dancefloor, there's renewed debate over London's night-time economy after fresh criticism that restrictive licensing policies are making it harder for venues to thrive compared with other UK cities.

🎉 Competition Extended!

Good news if you haven't entered yet...

We're extending our competition for another week.

You can still win a VIP pair of tickets to Housework presents Shipwrecked on the Thames on Saturday 18 July.

If you've already entered, you're still in the draw.

If not, there's still time - but don't leave it too long! Just listen to last week’s show on Mixcloud or your favourite platform to catch the question and enter via WhatsApp.

We'll announce the winner on next week's show.

Thanks, as always, for listening, supporting and keeping the dance music community alive.

See you next Wednesday!
