Hello and welcome to the very first Decades of Dance UK email!

My name is Paul, aka @mediatechpaul and I’m going to be compiling these weekly updates for Ash and Gav. We’re going to try and keep it short and sweet every week to give you a preview of what’s coming up in the show.

So let’s get to it…

This week we're joined by Birmingham DJ and producer Kroose, whose releases have become regular fixtures in the Traxsource Garage charts.

We'll be talking about his journey through the dance music scene, his collaborations with artists including Jade Thirlwall, Kelli-Leigh and Angie Brown, and we'll be giving his upcoming Roode Records release its first spin on the show.

We'll also feature an exclusive 30-minute guest mix from DJ Jack James, a familiar name to followers of the Housework and Wearehousework events scene.

Plus the usual shout-outs, whats-on-whats-on, Gav’s track of the week, the track from way back and some big anthems that’ll get you moving,

Kroose has built a reputation through releases on labels including Dvine Sounds, Flashmob Records, Simma Black, Quantize Recordings and Milk & Sugar.

We'll be discussing:

• Breaking into the House and Garage scene

• Chart success with tracks including Something Deeper, Free My Soul and Straight From The Heart

• Reworking the classic Shine On by Degrees Of Motion

• Launching and releasing music through Roode Records

Tonight we'll be featuring Kroose's upcoming release on Roode Records ahead of its official release on 26 June.

Kroose describes it as a new/old-school Ibiza track and says early feedback has led some listeners to call it "the track of the summer."

We'll let you decide.

We're also featuring a special 30-minute set from DJ Jack James.

Jack is a regular fixture at Housework events and is also scheduled to appear at the upcoming SHIPWRECKED: Steampunk'd on the Thames event this July (see below)

Expect quality house music and plenty of dancefloor energy.
